Here’s how to make money on Decluttr:

  1. Open Decluttr’s app and get a free instant valuation for the items that you want to sell.

20. Start mystery shopping with Bestmark

Mystery shopping can be an interesting way to make extra money online, while shopping in-store, over the phone, and so on. I used to mystery shop several years ago, and I’ve done it in all of those ways.

I completed mystery shops that paid me actual money, and others paid me in free items too, such as a nice dinner out or a grocery shop.

Companies hire mystery shoppers because they want to get a better idea of what the customer experience is actually like.

They want to understand the full experience, including what the customer thinks of the product, how customer service was handled, how the phone was answered, and so on. They can get real results because you are secretly shopping and the store/workers do not know who you are.

21. Find random Craigslist jobs

If you’re looking for a one-time job, then looking at your local Craigslist can be a good way to make money.

With Craigslist jobs, you usually get paid right after you complete your work, which means that you’ll get paid the same day.

To find Craigslist gigs in your town, just go to Craigslist and look for the “gigs” section.

Here are some jobs I found through a quick search:

  • Dog sitter
  • Mover
  • Housecleaner
  • Passing out flyers and brochures
  • Motorhome hauler
  • Painting helper

22. Walk dogs and/or pet sit

Rover is an app and website that connects you with pet owners who are looking for dog walkers, pet sitters, cat boarders, and so on.

With this gig, you may be watching pets in your home or going over to the pet owner’s home to take care of the pets.

For pet boarding, you may be able to make around $25+ per day for watching someone’s dog or other pet in your home. This is a great service to offer, and if you love animals (which you should if you are going to do this) then it could be fun as well!

I have paid $50 per dog/per day for a dog sitter in the past, and since we had two dogs (sadly, they have both since passed away), the total was around $100 per day. And, our dogs were pretty easy to watch too.

Rover is a great company that you can sign up with in order to become a dog walker and pet sitter.

23. Rent out your RV

If you have an RV that is sitting around, then you may be able to make $100 to $300 a day, or more, by renting it out to others through RVShare.

RVshare is one of the best money-earning apps because it helps travelers save money by cutting out the middleman and offering RV rentals directly from RV owners.

Think of RVshare as Airbnb for RVs.

You can rent all kinds of RV on RVShare, such as:

  • Class B camper vans
  • Travel trailers
  • Pop-ups
  • Class C Motorhome
  • Class A Motorhome
  • Toy hauler

RVshare also securely handles all payments and releases funds to your bank account one business day after the start of each rental.

24. Rent out your car

Just like you can rent out your RV when you’re not using it, you can rent out your car too!

It’s an affordable alternative to traditional rental car companies for customers, and it’s a good way to make money if you’re already working from home and don’t need your car, or are a two-car household.

Turo is one of a few different places to rent your car out. Turo covers your car with up to a $1,000,000 insurance policy, and you can pick when your car is available and set your rates.

Turo says you can earn an average of $706/month by listing your car on their site.

25. Deliver food with DoorDash

DoorDash is the largest food delivery company in the U.S. With this app, you would be delivering food and takeout to those who order within the app.

This app is available in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

You can choose your own hours, receive deliveries right away, and you’ll know how much you can make for each delivery before accepting a food delivery order.

You just need to be 18 or older, have a car, scooter, or bike, and complete a background check.

Another similar option to this in today’s gig economy would be Uber Eats.

26. GetUpside

One of the newest legit money making apps that I’ve heard of is GetUpside. I recently downloaded it and it is very easy to use.

GetUpside is a mobile app that helps you find gas stations, groceries, and restaurants where you can earn cash back. You simply sign up for a free account, and then look at the GetUpside app to find places near you.

You can earn up to $0.25/gallon cash back at gas stations, up to 30% back on grocery purchases, and up to 45% back at restaurants.

You can check out GetUpside here to learn more.

You can also learn more in my Upside Review.

27. Facebook

Facebook is much more than a social media platform. You can use Facebook’s popular Marketplace platform to quickly and easily list items for sale.

Selling on Facebook Marketplace makes a lot of sense for people because you don’t have to download and learn how to use another app, plus there are around 3 billion Facebook users worldwide.

28. Capital One Shopping

Capital One Shopping is one of the best money-earning apps because it helps you claim and redeem price drop refunds. For example, if you bought headphones from Target for $100, but the price dropped two weeks later to $80, this app will get that $20 difference to you.

It’s free to use Capital One Shopping, and they were called Paribus until just a couple of years ago.

29. Honeygain

The Honeygain app pays you to share your internet connection with companies that use it as a tower. This is all 100% legit, and Honeygain gladly explains how it all works on its site.

You’re paid based on the amount of traffic that goes through your connection, and Honeygain pays $1 for every 10 GB of traffic.

Honeygain is one of the best money making apps because it’s completely passive.

30. TaskRabbit

TaskRabbit is an app where you can connect with people in your area who are looking for help with things like:

  • Hanging pictures
  • Assembling IKEA furniture
  • Moving heavy boxes upstairs
  • Fixing a leaky sink
  • Cleaning tasks
  • Organizing closets

And more!

There is a one-time fee of $25 to sign up and create a profile, and you set your rates for any of the services you want to offer.

Do money making apps actually work? Which app gives real money?

Yes, money making apps and websites actually work and they allow you to earn money on your own schedule. Some may pay as much as part-time jobs or full-time job as well.

Now, not every single one will work for every single person, but there are many options that you may be able to try out.

I have personally used many, many money making apps and websites over the years, from cashback websites to paid online surveys, and more.

They are available on your laptop, computer, tablet, and smartphone devices (Android and iOS through the App Store or Google Play Store). Some may be a browser extension as well.

You may be able to cash-out by check, PayPal account, free gift cards, free Apple gift cards, and more.

Are money making apps safe?

The money making apps and websites included in this article are safe and legitimate. I check out each company before listing them on my site because I only want my readers to have legitimate options.

You can also read their reviews in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store to learn more.

Where do money making apps get money from?

Many of the money making apps on this site make money from selling market research data, which is what survey sites pay you for. Other apps make money with display advertising, such as ads on their website.

They also may get paid a commission when a customer buys something from one of the company’s partner sites.

Some of these apps make money because you are selling something to them, and then they resell it, such as with Decluttr. Mystery shopping companies make money from the company that is hiring them to have the mystery shop done.

They all make money in some way, which is why they do what they do. They are all legitimate and many people earn money with each of the ways listed in this blog post.

What is the fastest money-making app?

The fastest money making apps and websites will vary, depending on what exactly you’re doing and what the company is paying you for.

If you want to make quick cash and a lot of it, I usually recommend finding items to sell around your home and selling them, such as on Poshmark or Decluttr. This is because nearly everyone has something in their home that they can sell.

I recommend finding what you’re interested in doing above, and simply going for it!
